FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS  

We know that many people have lots of questions about what we do. In fact, it is kind of hard to believe unless you see our work being done. Yes.. we can cut any thickness of concrete, or drill most any depth or size hole you can imagine. Here is a collection of some of our most asked questions and our answers or solutions.

Q. How thick of a wall or floor can you cut?
A. With our wiresaw, it does not matter how thick the wall or floor is.
   
Q. Can you cut granite?
A. Yes. we can drill or cut any kind of stone, brick, block, or concrete.
   
Q. Do you drill large holes?
A. Yes. We carry up to 24" diameter bits in stock, but can drill much larger holes if your needs arise.
   
Q. Do you drill holes in walls?
A. Yes. We anchor the drill to the wall. We can drill upside down if needed also.
   
Q. Why don't you just use a jackhammer?
A. Stress cracks spread through concrete, the jackhammer process damages the adjoining concrete if you do not cut, before you break.
   
Q. Do you make a lot of dust or mess when you cut or drill?
A. No. We use a wet cutting system, which creates slurry that we vacuum up, leaving a clean floor. We build containment areas that do not allow this to track into other areas while we are working.
 
       
 
 
 
 
 
Q. Can you operate in clean/sensitive areas such as hospitals and manufacturing facilities?
A. Yes. Part of our expertise is the ability to contain and control our work area when necessary to seal off the area completely. We apply the same methods found in Asbestos removal. In fact, your area will usually be cleaner after we leave, than before we even started working.
   
Q. What are some of the large commercial facilities you have done work in?
A. Dupont, Zeneca, Veterans Hospital, a number of hospitals throughout Delaware (Christiana Hospital, Milford and Kent General), State Department in Washington, DC, Social Security Administration, Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia, PA., MBNA.
   
Q. What about safety issues?
A. Our operators are experienced professionals and have passed the PINS/OSHA safety training.
   
Q. Our facility has special power needs, and we can not allow the use of gasoline powered equipment.
A. Not a problem, we can run our equipment on any of the following fuels: gasoline, electric, air, hydraulic, or propane.
   
Q. Do you install bollards?
A. Yes. We install bollards, handrails, and an assortment of other impact protection devices.
   
Q. Do you install french drains?
A. Yes. We install all kinds of drain systems in manufacturing plants, warehouses, chemical plants, and across building entrances. In fact, anywhere you might need to control the flow of a liquid.
   
Q. Do you have the ability to cut door openings in poured concrete basement walls?
A. Yes. With our diamond chainsaw, we can make these cuts easily and quickly.
   
Q. Do you travel outside of your immediate area?
A. Yes. We are able to service customers in Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
